Spatial inspection by smartphone

Captured on site.
Assessed from the office.

INSINIK turns a smartphone video into a spatial 3D model. Checkpoints, defects and questions sit exactly where they belong. Experts only travel when it is truly needed.

  • No extra hardware
  • Cloud or on-premise
  • Built in Zurich

The problem

Too often, someone has to go back.

One person is on site, the expert is in the office. In between: photos without context, long video calls and reports written days later. In the end, someone still has to drive out.

Building services are re-inspected about every three years. What changed in the meantime is hard to trace.
Real estate
The final report after a job often takes a whole day. And experienced technicians are getting scarce.
Machine service
Often someone has to go back on site just to find that a defect has not been fixed yet.
Construction QA

Observations from customer conversations, anonymised.

The platform

Capture. Coordinate. Guide.

Three steps connect the physical site with your digital workflows. No special hardware, just the smartphone your teams already carry.

Capture

A short smartphone video is enough. It becomes a spatial 3D model, measured if you need it.

02 / Coordinate

Coordinate

Checkpoints, tasks, defects, photos and results are anchored right in the model. Every piece of information has a place.

03 / Guide

Guide

On site, information appears in the right place: in the 3D model or in augmented reality directly on the object.

One workflow, two places

The expert is there, without the drive.

The person on site and the person assessing no longer need to be in the same place. INSINIK connects both through the same spatial model.

On site
In the office
01

Capture the situation

One smartphone video, no training needed.

02

Assess in 3D

The expert sees the whole space, not just snapshots.

03

Ask on the object

Questions and tasks are placed exactly on the spot.

04

Answer in AR

On site, the question appears right where it belongs.

05

Report done

Everything is documented. Travel only when needed.

In action

App and platform, connected live.

On the left, the app guides through checkpoints in AR. On the right, the office sees in real time what has been checked and where action is needed.

Pilot

Start small. Decide on numbers.

We start with a clearly scoped pilot on a real process, with your people. Afterwards you decide based on numbers, not slides.

  1. Week 0

    Scope

Pick the process, define baseline and KPIs.

  2. Week 1

    Set up

Capture the objects, configure checkpoints and workflows.

  3. Weeks 2–5

    Use

Your teams work with it day to day. We stay close.

  4. Week 6

Before/after comparison and a joint decision.

Technology

Research that works in the field.

Smartphone, not special hardware

Your teams use the device they already carry. That lowers barriers and simplifies rollout.

Fits existing workflows

INSINIK slots into your processes instead of replacing them. You start with a single workflow.

Cloud or on-premise

Run it the way that fits your technical and organisational requirements.

In-house 3D vision pipeline

Reconstruction, localisation and AR anchoring, built on current computer vision research.

Team

Complex work needs simple steps.

We combine more than ten years of experience in computer vision, robotics and quantitative analytics, from world-leading research and industry, with a close ear to the people who do the work on site.
